Our 2025 Summer Soccer Camp kicks off July 21st-25th! Your children can have a ball with other kids from Lennoxville and the surrounding area, from 6:30-8:00 PM on our Church Grounds, at 47 Queen Street!
This camp is run by volunteers at our church with varying levels of soccer skills. The leader on soccer drills is a semi-professional player, yet the aim is to help this age group of children have fun with soccer and learn some of the basic skills needed to play. Our volunteers have gone through a safety training to ensure safe practices working with kids. The camp is taught in English, with French and Spanish translation available.
We have run this camp since 2021 and have offered this evening session as an alternative to a full day camp. Our camp starts at 6:30 pm and finishes at 8 pm. We have a sign in and sign out sheet for the parent or guardian as they arrive. The kids can wear running shoes or cleats if they want to.
A typical evening involves warmups on the field and then various drills in dribbling, ball control, passing and shooting. We break into teams for a short scrimmage, using the smaller nets. A break is in order and we go inside for some water and fruit snacks. We also include a time of teaching for the children and this year it on the topic of God’s creation from the book of Genesis. We will sing a song and memorize a Bible verse.
Our evening concludes heading back to the field for a final scrimmage game before wrapping up at 8pm.
We will give each child a soccer ball at the end of the week and the colour booklet on Creation to take home along with a children’s Bible. We host a celebration Sunday 10:30 am at church on July 27th. You are welcome to join as we recap the week, highlighting what we learned and watching a video. A hot dog and sausage barbecue follows and all are welcome!
